Mobile Engineer (React Native) – Ghent Hybrid
Build React Native applications for Qargo TMS’s SaaS transport management platform. Develop offline-capable iOS and Android features that support logistics drivers across Europe.
Description
- Develop cross-platform iOS and Android features within the React Native and Expo codebase
- Use typed TypeScript with the Hasura GraphQL API, Firebase, and Firestore
- Create dependable mobile workflows for stop completion, document capture, live status updates, and offline operation
- Improve application performance and apply mobile engineering practices suited to unreliable connectivity
- Partner with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and other cross-functional colleagues
- Help shape the mobile architecture and broader product direction
- Build software that improves efficiency and sustainability in the logistics industry for professional drivers
Requirements
- A master’s degree in IT, computer science, software engineering, or equivalent professional experience
- At least two years of mobile development experience
- Practical experience building with React Native and Expo
- Experience shipping production applications to both the App Store and Google Play
- Strong command of clean, typed TypeScript
- Working knowledge of component-based architecture and state management
- Familiarity with GraphQL and API-driven mobile applications
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Comfort working both independently and collaboratively
- Mobile-first design experience is a plus
- Experience using Firebase or Firestore for real-time data is a plus
- Familiarity with offline-first mobile development patterns is a plus
- Experience in a fast-paced scale-up or product company is a plus
