KamiwazaAI
KamiwazaAI
KamiwazaAI develops a secure AI orchestration platform for regulated industries and government operations. Its distributed architecture lets organizations run AI alongside their data across on-premises, cloud, edge, and classified environments, with security and auditability built in. The platform combines contextual retrieval through a living ontology, distributed data and inference capabilities, governed tools with relationship-based access controls, and multi-agent orchestration. KamiwazaAI’s work centers on making AI deployments practical across complex enterprise environments.

Mission Delivery Engineer – Federal AI Deployments

Build and productionize generative AI applications for Kamiwaza’s U.S. federal customers. Lead proof-of-value engagements, integrations, secure deployments, and partner handoffs.

Description

  • Lead technical discovery with Department of Defense, intelligence community, and other federal customers.
  • Shape use cases, solution designs, measurable proof-of-value plans, and paths from pilot to production.
  • Create tailored demonstrations, whiteboard sessions, and practical workshops.
  • Develop rapid prototypes and custom applications on the Kamiwaza platform.
  • Showcase retrieval-augmented generation, agent orchestration, streaming data ingestion, and inference at the edge.
  • Equip proof-of-value projects with evaluation methods and safeguards.
  • Turn successful pilots into production systems by strengthening code, modularizing components, and adding tests.
  • Build integrations with identity, data, and workflow systems.
  • Automate deployments and align development, test, and production environments through containers and DevOps practices.
  • Improve performance, reliability, observability, scalability, and operational readiness.
  • Prepare for RMF and ATO processes, including deployment in classified and air-gapped environments.
  • Provide handoff materials such as architecture diagrams, deployment guides, runbooks, infrastructure-as-code and configuration artifacts, and code repositories.
  • Run knowledge-transfer and enablement workshops.
  • Set acceptance criteria and guide production approval or transition planning.
  • Coordinate with systems integrators and partners through production delivery.
  • Contribute to technical win strategies, proposals, technical responses, and delivery risk reviews.
  • Turn customer feedback into product requirements and collaborate with Engineering and Product on improvements.
  • Create repeatable demonstration, proof-of-value, production-hardening, and handoff playbooks during the first 180 days.

Requirements

  • At least six years in customer-facing technical roles supporting U.S. federal customers.
  • Ability to lead engagements from discovery and technical validation through proof of value or pilot, production implementation, and handoff.
  • Able to work in sensitive mission settings and communicate within security and information-handling constraints.
  • Strong software engineering ability; Python is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with APIs, SDKs, and modern web or application frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of generative AI, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings and vector search, agent workflows, and evaluation and safeguards.
  • Experience with distributed systems and integration patterns, including APIs, event-driven or streaming systems, and data pipelines.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and logging and metrics.
  • Ability to connect technical capabilities to mission outcomes and customer value.
  • Strong presentation, whiteboarding, and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Takes ownership and works with limited supervision across Sales, Product, Engineering, and partner teams.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • An active TS/SCI clearance is required.
  • Able to travel within the continental United States to customer sites and secure locations.
  • Preferred: experience with classified, air-gapped, or DDIL deployments for DoD or intelligence community customers; familiarity with RMF, ATO, and NIST 800-53.
  • Preferred: production implementation experience covering runbooks, monitoring, incident response, and sustainment handoffs.
  • Preferred: experience integrating federal data platforms, streaming systems, and identity or access services.
