Mid-Level Backend Software Developer in Huntsville, Alabama

Build secure, scalable backend services for Trideum’s U.S. Army mission systems. Develop APIs and distributed components onsite in Huntsville and at Redstone Arsenal.

Description

  • Build and maintain scalable, modular backend components aligned with MOSA principles
  • Create secure backend services, data-processing workflows, and APIs
  • Connect system components and services within distributed architectures
  • Work with systems engineers and developers to meet system requirements and technical constraints
  • Contribute to code reviews, sprint planning, design sessions, and continuous integration
  • Verify that software satisfies performance, reliability, and security standards
  • Apply secure coding, documentation, and maintainability best practices
  • Travel occasionally for collaboration, customer meetings, or system integration events

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Three to five years of professional software development experience
  • Familiarity with MOSA principles or modular, component-based architectures
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices such as secure coding, automated testing, and CI/CD workflows
  • Experience developing backend services or system components with Java, .NET, C#, C++, Python, or a similar language
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of software security principles and automated testing practices
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities
