Description

  • Build foundational knowledge of specialty insurance and underwriting practices
  • Collaborate with management liability underwriting managers and other team members
  • Expand understanding of corporate insurance functions and the specialty insurance market
  • Support underwriting professionals with routine assignments and special projects
  • Gradually take on work commonly performed by entry-level underwriters as capabilities develop

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree focused on risk management, insurance, or business
  • Insurance or financial analysis coursework is preferred
  • Able to establish and maintain relationships with employees at all levels and broker clients
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office, and Excel
  • Able to perform effectively under pressure while managing competing project priorities
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Highly attentive to detail with strong analytical ability
  • Available to travel for business purposes
  • Prior insurance internship experience is helpful but not required
