Description

  • Provide legal guidance on assigned I&S commercial matters within the designated region
  • Advise on integrated projects, Gaffney Cline advisory services, and New Energies opportunities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate subcontracts, service agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, MOUs, collaboration agreements, and customer agreements
  • Provide counsel on subcontracting, vendor, sourcing, and project execution issues
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Sourcing, Project Management, Risk, Commercial, and other internal teams
  • Manage flow-down and back-to-back contractual terms involving vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Offer practical, business-oriented advice while managing contractual and execution risk throughout the project lifecycle
  • Help develop contract templates, processes, governance materials, and legal best practices
  • Refer high-risk, strategic, precedent-setting, or specialized matters to senior legal leaders or subject-matter experts
  • Draft and negotiate additional OFSE customer-facing commercial agreements in the designated region
  • Assist the broader OFSE Sourcing Legal team with sourcing-related legal matters
  • Report to the I&S Segment Legal Senior Director

Requirements

  • Law degree or equivalent legal qualification, with authorization, admission, or qualification to practice in at least one applicable jurisdiction
  • At least four years of relevant commercial legal experience
  • Ability to independently draft, review, negotiate, and advise on complex commercial agreements and business-critical matters
  • Demonstrated commitment to integrity, compliance, and professional ethics
  • Capacity to manage matters independently, set priorities, advise stakeholders, and escalate elevated-risk issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for explaining complex legal matters
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and regions
  • Pragmatic, solution-oriented judgment that balances risk management with business enablement
  • Adaptable, sound judgment and a collaborative working style
  • Exceptional written and spoken English
  • Experience with complex commercial transactions, integrated projects, advisory services, or technically complex project delivery models is preferred
  • Familiarity with international contracting and cross-border project execution is preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with commercial, operational, and legal stakeholders and deliver risk-based recommendations is preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple complex priorities while maintaining attention to detail, legal quality, responsiveness, and commercial judgment is preferred
  • Fluency in Spanish and Portuguese for candidates based in Latin America
