Lead UX Analytics Data Analyst – Santa Monica Hybrid

Lead analytics for Disney streaming products, guiding experimentation and user experience decisions. Design A/B tests, analyze behavior, develop metrics, and communicate recommendations to product and executive stakeholders.

Description

  • Analyze how users navigate and engage with Disney streaming products
  • Assess whether product and feature changes achieve their intended outcomes
  • Define success metrics and measurement strategies for product experiments
  • Lead A/B tests across navigation, discovery, and feature surfaces, from metric selection and test design through power analysis and final recommendations
  • Create and manage measurement frameworks and product success metrics
  • Examine how users discover, use, and return to content
  • Share insights with product managers and prepare readouts for VP and SVP audiences
  • Create and maintain dashboards to monitor key product surfaces continuously
  • Direct complex analytics projects from initial framing and methodology through analysis and recommendations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
  • At least seven years of experience in data analytics
  • Demonstrated ability to produce analysis that shaped a business or product decision
  • Extensive experimentation expertise, including test design, power analysis, metric selection, and accurate interpretation of local and global results
  • Advanced metric development skills, including defining measurement goals, rationale, and potential failure modes before data collection
  • Advanced SQL experience with large-scale behavioral data, including pathing, funnel, and cohort analysis
  • Proficiency with Python for scripting, text processing, and analyses that require more than SQL
  • Experience developing visual dashboards with Looker and LookML
  • Working knowledge of Tableau
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Streaming or subscription product experience is a plus
  • Experience with causal inference techniques beyond standard A/B testing, such as difference-in-differences and synthetic control, is a plus
  • An advanced degree in a quantitative discipline is a plus
