Lead Systems Analyst – Java and Enterprise Integrations at TIAA, Charlotte Hybrid

Lead the design and development of Java/J2EE systems and enterprise integrations for TIAA’s retirement and financial services operations. Build cloud, workflow, and API solutions while collaborating across hybrid delivery teams.

Description

  • Research business needs and define scope for developing or enhancing moderately complex information systems
  • Create flowcharts, models, procedures, and feasibility analyses for proposed system solutions
  • Produce technical documentation supporting system users and ongoing operations, maintenance, and development
  • Partner with analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and establish project constraints, capabilities, performance standards, requirements, and interfaces
  • Assess weaknesses in existing system logic and documentation, then recommend improvements
  • Support the creation of end-user training sessions and product demonstrations
  • Monitor application performance and operational effectiveness while diagnosing and resolving issues

Requirements

  • At least five years of information technology experience in the financial services sector
  • At least five years designing and developing Java and J2EE applications
  • At least three years working with REST and SOAP web services, JSON, XML, WSDL, MuleSoft ESB, and Kong API Gateway for enterprise integrations
  • Experience using AWS services such as RDS and OpenSearch
  • Experience orchestrating containers with Red Hat OpenShift across multiple deployment environments, including disaster recovery environments
  • Experience designing, developing, and administering BPMN-based workflow applications and business process management platforms
  • A university degree is preferred
  • Practical experience with IBM MQ and Apache Kafka
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum, SDLC practices, Azure DevOps, and JIRA
  • Proficiency in SQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle databases, including data modeling and query optimization
  • Experience with PingFederate OAuth2 and CyberArk Conjur DAP
  • Experience using Splunk
  • Experience with GitLab or comparable source control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and release planning and orchestration
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
