Lead Software Engineer, Integration

Lead MuleSoft integration engineering for MSD’s animal health business, guiding four engineers and designing AWS, SaaS, ERP, and microservices integrations across Prague and Hyderabad.

Description

  • Lead and grow a four-person engineering team working on MuleSoft.
  • Coach developers, support their development, and set a strong technical example.
  • Set the roadmap for integration services.
  • Design resilient integrations for cloud platforms, SaaS and e-commerce applications, ERP, laboratory systems, and microservices.
  • Assess new integration needs and select suitable solution approaches.
  • Promote reusable, scalable integration patterns that meet enterprise standards.
  • Advance API-led connectivity, event-driven architecture, and publish-subscribe approaches.
  • Keep integration platforms reliable in operation.
  • Work with business and product teams to plan backlogs.
  • Provide guidance on technical debt and innovation.
  • Work with technology partners and vendors to develop the platform.
  • Build connections between technical communities in Prague, the US, and India.
  • Work with international teams and travel to overseas offices about once a year.

Requirements

  • Bring at least five years of experience in development, implementation, integration, and microservices, including iPaaS, API management, SOA, or enterprise application integration.
  • Have solid experience with the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
  • Have broad knowledge of enterprise integration technologies.
  • Have experience with AWS or Azure, APIs, and event-driven architectures such as Kafka or Event Grid.
  • Understand the modern software development lifecycle.
  • Understand CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understand containerization with Kubernetes.
  • Understand DevSecOps practices in a regulated enterprise environment.
  • Present technical concepts clearly to business stakeholders and leaders.
  • Collaborate effectively in an international environment.
  • Communicate in English.
