Lead Data Analyst, UX Analytics — Santa Monica Hybrid

Lead experimentation and UX analytics for Disney streaming products. Define measurement strategies, analyze user behavior, and guide important product decisions.

Description

  • Lead end-to-end analysis for experiments across navigation, discovery, and feature experiences
  • Choose success metrics, design tests, perform power analyses, evaluate results, and recommend actions
  • Create and manage product success metrics and measurement frameworks
  • Study how users discover, engage with, and return to content
  • Share insights with product managers and prepare readouts for VP and SVP audiences
  • Create and maintain dashboards that monitor key product surfaces continuously
  • Structure complex analytical questions, select effective methods, interpret findings, and provide recommendations
  • Shape product decisions for Disney streaming products and features

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • At least 7 years of experience in data analytics
  • Demonstrated ability to drive decisions through analysis rather than simply presenting findings
  • Extensive experimentation expertise, including test design, power analysis, metric selection, and accurate interpretation of local and global results
  • Strong judgment in defining measurement goals, rationale, and potential failure modes before collecting data
  • Advanced SQL skills for large-scale behavioral analysis, including pathing, funnels, and cohort analysis
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting, text processing, and analytical work beyond SQL’s capabilities
  • Use SQL as the primary analysis tool
  • Experience creating data visualizations and dashboards in Looker with LookML
  • Familiarity with Tableau
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, including experience sharing insights with stakeholders at every level
