Junior .NET Software Developer (Hybrid)

Join Beghou Consulting as a junior .NET Software Developer building enterprise applications for life sciences clients. The role focuses on C#, APIs, microservices, and SQL Server solutions.

Description

  • Build, test, and maintain application features and modules with .NET Core, .NET 8+, and C#.
  • Apply established design patterns, architecture standards, and Microsoft framework best practices.
  • Follow coding standards, contribute to code reviews, and apply feedback from senior engineers.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, senior developers, and QA to clarify requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs with ASP.NET Core.
  • Assist with microservices-based components under appropriate guidance.
  • Create and improve SQL Server queries and stored procedures.
  • Contribute to data modelling and fundamental indexing activities.
  • Investigate and fix software defects.
  • Identify performance constraints and technical debt for follow-up.
  • Take part in Agile ceremonies, estimate tasks, and meet sprint commitments.
  • Build knowledge of .NET and the wider Microsoft ecosystem and apply newly developed skills.

Requirements

  • One to three years of professional software development experience with Microsoft technologies; strong internships or project work may be considered.
  • One to three years of practical experience with .NET Core, .NET 5+, and C#.
  • Working knowledge of WPF, ASP.NET Core Web API, MVC patterns, middleware, and dependency injection.
  • Working knowledge of Entity Framework Core, including migrations and database-first or code-first development.
  • Proficiency with SQL Server queries, joins, and stored procedures, plus a basic understanding of indexing and query performance.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, asynchronous programming with async/await, and core .NET concepts.
  • Clear communication, a willingness to learn, and effective teamwork skills.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Google Maps API or Mapbox API is advantageous.
  • Exposure to Azure cloud services.
