Junior Customs Entry Writer at BorderBuddy (U.S. Remote)

Support accurate U.S. customs entry processing from a remote role at BorderBuddy, a technology-focused cross-border customs broker. Coordinate documentation, stakeholders, and shipment clearance while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Description

  • Prepare and submit customs entries accurately within required timelines
  • Check documentation for completeness and alignment with U.S. Customs requirements
  • Work with clients, carriers, and brokers to resolve issues and support prompt shipment clearance
  • Keep internal and client records accurate and current
  • Suggest process improvements that help the team handle volume efficiently
  • Provide administrative assistance and support other operational duties as required
  • Prepare and file documentation for Partner Government Agencies, including the FDA, to support compliant and timely clearance
  • Work a standard 40-hour week, with additional hours or overtime possible to support 24/7/365 operations

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in customs brokerage, logistics, or e-commerce operations is preferred
  • Working knowledge of U.S. Customs procedures and entry types, including Section 321, informal, and formal entries
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication
  • Ability to organize priorities and meet competing deadlines in a remote work setting
  • Comfort using brokerage or logistics platforms, Excel, and Google Sheets
  • Professional proficiency in English
  • Spanish language skills are an asset
  • Strong problem-solving ability and composure under pressure
  • Effective interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Well-organized, adaptable, and dependable
  • Proficiency with computers and common software
  • Resourceful, detail-focused, and motivated to learn
  • Collaborative team member
  • Must live and work within the United States
