Junior Business Analyst (California Remote)

Analyze business requirements, processes, and data to help improve operations. Develop practical recommendations and communicate findings to technical and non-technical teams.

Description

  • Partner with colleagues and stakeholders to clarify business needs, objectives, and challenges
  • Collect, review, and assess business requirements, processes, and data
  • Spot process gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement
  • Document requirements, workflows, processes, and recommended actions
  • Examine data for trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions
  • Convert business needs into clear requirements and practical recommendations
  • Support the development and implementation of solutions across teams
  • Contribute to process improvements and assess proposed changes
  • Prepare reports, summaries, presentations, and other materials that explain findings
  • Monitor projects, requirements, action items, and follow-up activities
  • Investigate problems and determine their root causes
  • Verify that solutions and process changes satisfy business requirements
  • Keep documentation and records accurate and well organized
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Protect company and confidential information through responsible handling
  • Provide analytical, project, and administrative support as needed

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, operations, project coordination, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, information systems, analytics, or a related discipline preferred
  • Strong analytical ability and practical problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a consistent focus on accuracy
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, especially Excel or Google Sheets
  • Experience in reporting, data analysis, process documentation, or business intelligence tools is beneficial
  • Ability to interpret complex information and explain it clearly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and deliver work on schedule
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Comfort collaborating through email, messaging tools, and video conferencing
  • Discretion when handling confidential information
