Description

  • Manage global IT infrastructure services that support business operations and provide infrastructure operations assistance
  • Investigate and resolve infrastructure incidents and problems under the Rentokil Initial ITSM Framework
  • Administer storage and VMware virtual infrastructure for hosted services
  • Monitor infrastructure systems and take preventive action to support high availability
  • Manage incidents through ServiceNow
  • Install or remove hardware and software, then record the completed work
  • Diagnose issues and faults related to hardware and software installations
  • Use system management tools to gather performance data and maintain system software
  • Perform network configuration, installation, and maintenance activities
  • Measure and report network load and performance data
  • Support infrastructure maintenance and installation activities
  • Run scheduled backups and restores while tracking offsite storage
  • Allocate and maintain storage resources and storage systems
  • Recognize operational issues and assist with resolving them

Requirements

  • Strong interest in operating high-quality infrastructure technology environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Experience monitoring medium- to large-scale infrastructure environments
  • Ability to install, configure, and maintain infrastructure systems and solutions to specification
  • Consistent attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of VMware vSphere
  • Working knowledge of vSAN
  • Working knowledge of Veeam and Zerto
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server and Red Hat Linux
  • Working knowledge of Citrix XenApp
  • Working knowledge of Cisco technologies, including switches, firewalls, or routers
  • Working knowledge of SD-WAN
  • Working knowledge of Aruba Networks
