iOS Software Engineer at Garmin Cluj (Hybrid, Cluj-Napoca)
Build Garmin Connect mobile features for millions of fitness and outdoor users. Develop, test, and optimize Swift-based iOS applications alongside cross-functional teams.
Description
- Create and enhance advanced applications for iOS
- Work with cross-functional teams to shape, design, and deliver new features
- Write unit tests covering edge cases, usability, robustness, and reliability
- Resolve defects and improve application performance
- Evaluate and adopt technologies that strengthen the development process
- Help develop Garmin Connect Mobile, a fitness and outdoor companion app used with Garmin devices by tens of millions of people
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of SwiftUI and UIKit
- Strong knowledge of modern concurrency
- Experience developing modular applications and SPM modules
- Understanding of MVVM and router-based navigation
- At least three years of iOS development experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- Professional proficiency in English
- Capacity to learn new concepts quickly
- Enthusiasm and a committed approach to work
- A process-focused mindset with close attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a small team
- Experience with Bluetooth, Promises, SwiftUI, or Combine, plus familiarity with Agile methods, is an advantage
