Instructional Content Copy Editor - Toastmasters International Hybrid

Edit Toastmasters International’s e-learning and training content for clarity, consistency, accessibility, and accuracy. This hybrid role also supports LMS production, project coordination, and instructional content teams.

Description

  • Proofread and copyedit e-learning and related materials for Toastmasters audiences
  • Provide editorial guidance, including revisions and rewrites where needed
  • Apply organizational brand and style standards while supporting accessibility for international audiences
  • Check published LMS content for layout, functionality, and link accuracy
  • Work closely with Instructional Designers and Content Producers
  • Help coordinate communications, logistics, and departmental administration
  • Assist with managing project schedules and deadlines
  • Handle staff inquiries with professionalism and promptness
  • Contribute to a cooperative and collaborative team culture
  • Undertake other assigned responsibilities as needed

Requirements

  • At least three years of relevant experience, preferably in an editorial role
  • Demonstrated proofreading and copyediting expertise, including required proficiency with Track Changes
  • Working knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style
  • Advanced command of American English spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • Proficiency with Office 365 applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and Planner
  • Proficiency with Zoom and comparable business communication tools
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro, including digital form creation
  • Strong organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exceptional precision and attention to detail
  • Ability to organize and balance multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-focused setting
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and collaborate effectively with colleagues
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills, information, and processes
  • Professional, respectful approach with a strong customer service orientation
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to Toastmasters International’s culture and policies
  • Experience with corporate training or adult education
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Employment sponsorship is unavailable
  • Reliable internet service is required for remote work from home
