Inside Sales Specialist – Duluth, GA Hybrid

Drive sales of Airgas industrial, medical, and specialty gases and related products. Manage customer accounts, grow revenue, and activate new business through phone-based sales.

Description

  • Drive sales and gross profit growth while activating new accounts through telephone outreach and customer engagement
  • Maintain and expand sales volume across existing customer accounts
  • Engage prospective customers to develop new business
  • Manage an active sales pipeline and assigned customer portfolio
  • Build customer relationships while supporting gross margin growth
  • Handle both outbound prospecting calls and inbound customer inquiries
  • Negotiate pricing that supports customer needs and Airgas growth objectives
  • Record sales quotes and orders in SAP
  • Use Salesforce.com to create customer profiles, manage opportunities, and document risks or lost business
  • Process customer returns and credits in coordination with the BSC Credit Department
  • Use e-market tools, airgas.com, marketing resources, and the Field Specialist Network to support sales
  • Work with Regional Company District Managers, store personnel, field colleagues, and Sales Managers
  • Participate in training, coaching, team meetings, and portfolio planning
  • Welcome, train, or mentor peers when requested
  • Contribute to other duties related to the position as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • Previous sales or customer service experience with Airgas is required
  • Demonstrated self-motivation
  • Strong ability to interact effectively with others
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • College degree preferred
  • Industrial distribution experience or knowledge of PPE, welding, and gases preferred
