Description
- Identify new sales prospects through outbound phone calls and email outreach
- Guide sales activities by coordinating projects, monitoring open orders, resolving issues, and supporting customers
- Deliver profitable revenue growth by meeting assigned quotas
- Set product prices using pricing matrices and related reference materials
- Create product code directives while protecting required margin targets
- Complete estimating, quantity take-offs, and proposal work when needed
- Escalate complicated or unusual issues to a supervisor
- Work with general direction and receive regular reviews from an experienced coworker or supervisor
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is strongly preferred
- Role-specific skills training or certification may be required
- Typically two to five years of experience in the relevant area
- Experience identifying sales prospects through outbound calling and email
- Capability to coordinate sales workflows, manage projects, monitor open orders, resolve problems, and assist customers
- Capacity to achieve quota targets while producing profitable growth
- Ability to select suitable pricing with matrices and other approved resources
- Skill in creating product code directives while preserving margin objectives
- Ability to prepare estimates, quantity take-offs, and proposals as needed
- Sound judgment within established policies, including knowing when to escalate complex or unusual matters
- Comfort working mainly indoors in a seated role, with occasional movement or light lifting
- Willingness to travel overnight less than 10% of the time
