HIM MPI Integrity Analyst - Florida Remote

Baptist Health is seeking a remote HIM MPI Integrity Analyst to maintain patient identity and medical record accuracy across its Florida healthcare operations. The role supports safe, coordinated care across hospital and outpatient settings.

Description

  • Maintain the BHSF Master Patient Index and unique patient identifiers across acute care hospitals, outpatient services, ambulatory surgery centers, and Baptist Health medical groups.
  • Investigate and resolve patient MPI discrepancies across clinical, financial, and administrative systems.
  • Protect medical record integrity to support patient safety and continuity of care.
  • Consolidate clinical patient data for Health Information Exchange initiatives that improve care quality, safety, and cost.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve individual and department objectives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, certificate, GED, training, or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years of acute care experience in medical record analysis.
  • At least three years of total relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Knowledge of health information systems, database management, spreadsheet design, and computer technology.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills, with close attention to detail in a high-volume work environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Typing speed of at least 25 words per minute.
  • Successful completion of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint assessments.
  • Availability for on-call coverage, including nights and weekends, to support patient care.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage pressure, meet deadlines, maintain a positive attitude, and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments within established instructions, routines, and practices.
  • Associate degree in a related field preferred.
  • RHIT and/or RHIA certification preferred.
