Head of Finance (Hybrid, Denmark)

Lead finance, accounting, compliance, treasury, and credit operations at Dealflow, an invoicing platform for online entrepreneurs. Partner closely with the CEO while helping shape the company’s finance function.

Description

  • Partner with the CEO and develop into a broader leadership position
  • Oversee weekly and monthly accounting, payroll, and annual audit processes
  • Build financial models, manage budgets and forecasts, and support fundraising activities
  • Track P&L performance and identify ways to improve margins
  • Manage treasury operations with precision and strong financial discipline
  • Process customer payouts manually and oversee debt-collection activities
  • Provide broader FinOps support and assist customers
  • Own compliance activities and risk-management requirements
  • Review transactions for potential risks using Jarvis, the company’s AI system
  • Act as the initial defence against fraudulent activity
  • Collaborate with the compliance specialist
  • Set up and maintain the company’s credit facility
  • Take ownership of credit-scoring algorithms
  • Keep default rates within target levels
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant credit developments
  • Help define the future of finance for entrepreneurs

Requirements

  • Demonstrate spiritual maturity, strong character, sound values, and the ability to build trust in high-pressure situations
  • Bring strong analytical ability and confidence working with numbers
  • Be comfortable with technology and experienced in automating processes
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail
  • Learn quickly and approach challenges with a growth mindset
  • Have an international outlook and be willing to work beyond familiar boundaries
  • Communicate exceptionally well in both spoken and written English
  • Have native-level English proficiency
  • Be highly proficient in financial terminology and core finance concepts
  • Have at least two years of operating experience in a ScaleUp
  • Have three or more years of experience using Python, SQL, and Excel
  • Have relevant experience with data-modelling tools
  • Bring three or more years of relevant experience in top-tier investment banking, management consulting, or a high-growth startup
  • Hold a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a tier-one program, with rare exceptions
  • FinTech experience is a bonus
  • Fundraising experience is a bonus
  • International payments experience is a bonus
  • Credit and SMB lending experience is a bonus
  • Accounting experience is a bonus
  • Experience with Metabase, ETL tools such as Weld, or data pipelines is a bonus
