Graduate Credit Control Analyst – London Hybrid

Support premium collections, cash allocation, and aged debt management for London Market insurance clients. The role works closely with brokers, underwriters, and finance teams.

Description

  • Monitor unpaid premium balances and prepare aged-debt reports for finance colleagues and underwriters
  • Follow up with brokers to secure premium payments under agreed trading terms and payment clauses
  • Refer overdue balances for further action when appropriate
  • Apply incoming cash to the correct policies and transactions
  • Clear unmatched and suspense account cash
  • Reconcile broker statements against account balances
  • Research and correct account discrepancies
  • Monitor premium payment warranties and settlement deadlines
  • Alert underwriting teams to possible payment-term breaches
  • Contribute to month-end and quarter-end close through credit control reports, KPI tracking, and debt provision data
  • Respond to credit control questions from internal stakeholders and market counterparties
  • Recognize recurring collection problems and recommend workable process improvements

Requirements

  • A clear interest in insurance and the London Market
  • Insurance internship experience is beneficial, especially with a Lloyd’s managing agent, syndicate, MGA, broker, or TPA
  • Knowledge of premium settlement, trading terms, or broker accounting is helpful; full training is provided
  • Confident Excel user with experience of lookups, pivot tables, and basic reconciliation logic
  • Able to learn new finance and policy administration systems quickly
  • Organized and precise, with a commitment to accurate work against fixed month-end deadlines
  • Clear and assured communicator who can follow up with external contacts and build effective working relationships
  • Degree-qualified or able to demonstrate equivalent experience
