Geotechnical Engineer - Sydney Hybrid

Deliver geotechnical design and investigations for Aurecon’s transport and infrastructure projects in Sydney. Contribute to complex projects, client relationships, and the growth of the Ground Engineering team.

Description

  • Provide geotechnical design for multidisciplinary projects from feasibility through construction.
  • Contribute to transport, water, dam, energy distribution, and building projects.
  • Plan and deliver small- to medium-scale geotechnical investigations.
  • Perform intermediate analysis with PLAXIS, GeoStudio, Rocscience, and related tools.
  • Contribute technical input to client proposals and tenders.
  • Help develop the Ground Engineering team and advance its growth and diversity objectives.
  • Build constructive client relationships and contribute to business development.
  • Coordinate activities with key stakeholders.
  • Promote a strong workplace health and safety culture.
  • Keep current with industry developments, attend industry events, and broaden professional networks.
  • Strengthen interdisciplinary and client relationships while resolving complex problems.

Requirements

  • At least six years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
  • Preparedness to pursue CPEng registration with Engineers Australia.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality designs and reports.
  • Willingness to work with clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborative approach and enthusiasm for teamwork.
  • Industry body involvement, such as AGS membership, is desirable.
  • Eligibility for AGSVA security clearance is desirable but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Sound technical capability combined with commercial awareness.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional learning.
