Description

  • Maintain and enhance two existing business applications
  • Deliver new features based on business requirements
  • Resolve bugs, investigate issues, and apply application updates
  • Assess existing functionality and identify improvement opportunities
  • Help keep applications reliable, secure, and user-friendly
  • Maintain and enhance the internal custom order application
  • Develop functionality in response to changing business needs
  • Improve internal workflows and team user experiences
  • Ensure order and related data move accurately through the application
  • Develop both front-end interfaces and back-end functionality
  • Create and refine UI components for usability and performance
  • Implement server-side functionality with Laravel
  • Work with MySQL databases, queries, data structures, and integrations
  • Diagnose issues across front-end, back-end, and database layers
  • Build and maintain APIs and third-party integrations
  • Connect internal applications to external business systems
  • Resolve integration and data-transfer problems
  • Use API documentation to implement new integrations
  • Support HubSpot API integrations when needed
  • Use AI development tools such as Claude to improve productivity
  • Review AI-generated code for quality and security
  • Keep current with AI-enabled development tools and practices
  • Own ongoing application maintenance and development
  • Deliver application enhancements and new functionality
  • Build and maintain APIs and integrations

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional software development experience
  • Strong practical experience with the Laravel framework
  • Experience maintaining and enhancing production applications
  • Experience developing both front-end and back-end functionality
  • Experience working with MySQL databases
  • Experience building APIs and system integrations
  • Strong hands-on experience with Laravel and PHP
  • Experience developing front-end interfaces and UI functionality
  • Strong experience with MySQL and database administration
  • Ability to troubleshoot defects and maintain existing production applications
  • Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, and data flows
  • Experience incorporating AI tools into software development workflows
  • Ability to independently own applications and technical projects
  • Strong problem-solving ability and careful attention to detail when troubleshooting and releasing functionality
