Financial Analyst II, Private Debt Loan Operations – Calgary Hybrid

Support AIMCo’s CAD $10B private investment portfolio through loan transaction processing, cash management, reconciliations, and reporting. Help improve and automate private debt operations.

Description

  • Process capital calls, distributions, invoices, and related transactions accurately and on schedule.
  • Support investment closings by reviewing documentation, setting up investments, recording transactions, and executing settlements.
  • Investigate, resolve, or escalate data and transaction issues in Aladdin and eFront.
  • Maintain cash forecasts and manage portfolio liquidity requirements.
  • Complete bank reconciliations and cash controls to verify accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses and reports for internal stakeholders and decision-making.
  • Work with internal teams and external partners to advance process improvement and automation initiatives.
  • Independently complete assignments and resolve issues involving private investment accounting, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for private investment transactions.

Requirements

  • At least one year of accounting or finance experience.
  • Progress toward a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is considered an asset.
  • Candidates with three or more years of professional experience are encouraged to apply.
  • A strong understanding of investment asset classes would be beneficial.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including building spreadsheets and manipulating and analyzing large datasets.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Adaptability when work demands change.

  • Final candidates must complete an acceptable credit bureau and criminal record investigation.
