Field Service Technician - Maritime Equipment

Repair and maintain Liebherr maritime equipment at Canadian customer locations, offshore platforms, and FPSOs. Diagnose hydraulic, electrical, engine, gearbox, and drivetrain systems in field service environments.

Description

  • Repair and maintain Liebherr maritime machinery and components safely at customer locations, offshore platforms, and FPSOs.
  • Inspect and diagnose electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, engine, gearbox, and drivetrain systems.
  • Recondition and repair equipment components and systems, including warranty upgrades.
  • Prepare new and used equipment and complete pre-delivery inspections.
  • Conduct fluid checks, sample collection, oil and filter inspections, lubricant changes, filter replacements, and machine greasing.
  • Complete accurate service reports and technical documentation promptly.
  • Use and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with company policy.
  • Assist with shop repairs and other assigned responsibilities.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment.
  • Experience repairing and maintaining cranes is a definite asset.
  • Demonstrated diagnostic ability and strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
  • Ability to communicate detailed and complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, service reporting and time-entry systems, and parts-ordering software.
  • Resourceful and capable of working independently under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel within Canada by province as required.
  • Valid driver's license.
