Field Service Technician, Electromechanics – France Remote

Field service technician responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing TOMRA food sorting equipment. The role includes operator training and technical customer support across Brittany.

Description

  • Install and commission sorting equipment at customer sites
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electromechanical sorting systems
  • Train equipment operators and maintenance personnel
  • Deliver technical guidance and customer advice
  • Represent TOMRA professionally and support high service standards
  • Complete preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs, and other service activities
  • Prepare customer visits remotely from home
  • Produce detailed service reports
  • Maintain and update technical documentation
  • Provide remote technical assistance when required
  • Support colleagues and customers occasionally in other French regions

Requirements

  • Technical qualification at Bac+2 level or above in electrical engineering, industrial maintenance, automation, electronics, or a related discipline
  • Hands-on experience diagnosing electrical faults and troubleshooting electromechanical systems
  • Fluent French and effective English communication in technical and professional settings
  • Demonstrated experience with preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and industrial equipment repair in customer-facing environments
  • Strong computer skills, including PC systems, networks, and configuration
  • Field after-sales service, customer-site maintenance, commissioning, installation, or technical support experience is highly advantageous
  • Customer-focused approach with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Valid Category B driving licence
  • Availability for regular travel across Brittany and nearby regions, plus occasional travel elsewhere in France
