Field Service Technician - Electromechanical, Remote France

TOMRA is seeking a field service technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot food sorting systems. This home-based role supports customers across Nouvelle-Aquitaine and provides operator training and technical guidance.

Description

  • Install and commission sorting equipment at customer locations
  • Perform maintenance, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting on installed systems
  • Train customer operators and maintenance personnel
  • Deliver technical advice and specialist support to customers
  • Represent TOMRA on site and help maintain high service standards
  • Prepare planned customer visits from a home-based position
  • Complete detailed service reports after interventions
  • Maintain and update relevant technical documentation
  • Offer remote technical assistance when needed
  • Cover Nouvelle-Aquitaine and nearby regions as the primary service area
  • Provide occasional support to customers and colleagues elsewhere in France

Requirements

  • Hold a two-year technical qualification (Bac+2) in electrical engineering, industrial maintenance, automation, electronics, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose electrical faults and troubleshoot electromechanical equipment
  • Fluent French speaker
  • Able to communicate effectively in technical and professional English
  • Practical background in preventive maintenance, fault finding, and industrial equipment repair in customer-facing settings
  • Confident using IT systems, especially PCs, networks, and network configuration tools
  • Experience with field service, customer-site maintenance, commissioning, installation, or on-site technical support is advantageous
  • Customer-focused with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Hold a valid Category B driving licence
