Field Service Technician - Electromechanical Equipment at TOMRA, France

Install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot TOMRA food-sorting equipment at customer sites. Train customers and provide technical support primarily across Brittany and nearby French regions.

Description

  • Install and commission food-sorting equipment at customer locations
  • Perform equipment maintenance and diagnose electromechanical faults
  • Train equipment operators and maintenance personnel
  • Deliver technical guidance and customer advice
  • Represent TOMRA on customer sites and help maintain high service standards
  • Plan and prepare customer visits from a home-based location
  • Document completed service interventions in detailed reports
  • Maintain and revise technical documentation
  • Deliver remote technical assistance when needed
  • Cover assignments mainly across Brittany and surrounding regions
  • Provide occasional support to customers and colleagues elsewhere in France

Requirements

  • Hold a Bac+2 or higher technical qualification in electrical engineering, industrial maintenance, automation, electronics, or a related discipline
  • Have hands-on experience locating electrical faults and troubleshooting electromechanical systems
  • Speak French fluently
  • Communicate effectively in English in technical and professional settings
  • Demonstrate experience with preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and industrial equipment repair in customer-facing work
  • Experience in field after-sales service, on-site customer maintenance, commissioning, installation, or technical field support is advantageous
  • Understand PC systems, networks, and their configuration
  • Bring a strong customer-service mindset and excellent interpersonal abilities
  • Hold a valid Category B driving licence
