Environmental Professional Engineer - Lubbock, TX (Onsite)

Lead solid waste facility design, environmental permitting, and regulatory compliance projects for Parkhill in an onsite Lubbock role. Oversee multidisciplinary teams, client relationships, budgets, and approvals.

Description

  • Direct engineering projects through planning, permitting, design, construction, and closeout
  • Manage municipal solid waste, environmental compliance, and related infrastructure initiatives
  • Prepare and oversee engineering reports, permit applications, plans, specifications, and construction documents
  • Coordinate project activities with TCEQ, NMED, ODEQ, EPA, and other regulatory agencies
  • Design grading, drainage, stormwater, erosion control, and site development systems
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, staffing, and client expectations
  • Review engineering staff work and provide technical guidance
  • Mentor EITs and junior engineers
  • Contribute to business development, proposals, client management, and project pursuits
  • Act as Engineer of Record and seal engineering documents when appropriate
  • Work with team members to develop proposals, scopes, and fee estimates
  • Partner with CADD technicians and EITs on construction drawings and specifications
  • Complete other assigned responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, agricultural, biosystems, biological systems, or a closely related engineering field
  • Professional Engineer registration in Texas, New Mexico, or Oklahoma
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain registration in Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma
  • At least five years of progressive engineering experience; seven or more years preferred
  • Background in environmental permitting and regulatory compliance
  • Experience overseeing projects and managing client relationships
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and organizational capabilities
  • Ability to collaborate with team members, CADD technicians, and EITs on proposals, scopes, fees, construction drawings, and specifications
