Entry-Level Wetlands Environmental Scientist

Entry-level environmental scientist supporting wetland delineation, permitting, monitoring, and ecological projects at Tighe & Bond. Hybrid full-time role serving communities across the Northeast.

Description

  • Conduct fieldwork for wetland delineation
  • Monitor environmental conditions during construction
  • Support permitting for coastal and freshwater wetlands
  • Present project information at public hearings
  • Contribute to technical report preparation
  • Assist with environmental permitting, planning, and compliance monitoring assignments
  • Support wetland and ecological restoration, dam removal, streambank stabilization, rare species permitting, and sustainability initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a natural sciences discipline, such as environmental science, biology, soil science, ecology, or a related field
  • Academic coursework in ecology, hydrology, botany, and soils
  • Proven ability to collect and analyze field data
  • Strong technical writing ability
  • Capacity to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment
  • Resourceful, detail-focused, well-organized, and capable of managing time effectively
  • Master’s degree in a natural sciences discipline preferred
  • Previous environmental consulting or regulatory experience preferred
