Enterprise Architect – Gordon Food Service, Hybrid in Wyoming, Michigan
Gordon Food Service is seeking an Enterprise Architect to shape application, cloud, data, and security architecture. The role develops technology roadmaps, governs standards, evaluates emerging solutions, and mentors architecture and engineering teams.
Description
- Establish application, information, and technical architecture strategies with multi-year roadmaps tied to enterprise objectives
- Collaborate with architecture councils, domain architects, and engineering teams to promote standards and preserve architectural consistency
- Connect existing architecture with target-state designs
- Create resilient, scalable architectures spanning multiple domains for high-priority initiatives
- Monitor industry developments and conduct practical proof-of-concept work
- Direct technology supplier assessments and review emerging tools and frameworks
- Advance the development, adoption, and reuse of enterprise patterns, frameworks, and digital assets
- Coach and develop domain architects, engineers, and IT professionals
- Maintain architecture documentation, blueprints, and decision records
- Define and monitor measures of architectural health and performance
- Work with engineering leaders, domain architects, and executives through workshops, facilitation, and consensus-building
Requirements
- At least six years of information technology experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and progressively responsible architecture experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Architecture expertise across at least two enterprise domains: application; information, data, and integration; technical and cloud infrastructure; security; or business architecture
- Exceptional verbal, written, visual communication, and group facilitation abilities
- Ability to explain complex technical trade-offs to varied business and technical audiences
- Record of leading through influence, building consensus, and mentoring within matrixed, cross-functional teams
- Experience directing enterprise migrations and architecture in modern cloud environments preferred
- Google Cloud Platform experience preferred
- Experience with large-scale ERP systems and enterprise integration frameworks preferred
- Strong interest in hands-on experimentation, technical research, and ongoing learning preferred
- Gordon Food Service customer employees must provide management’s letter of support if selected for interviews
