Description
- Build and deliver complex systems that support critical business objectives
- Establish career paths through mentoring, feedback, and performance evaluations
- Define development best practices and drive continuous improvement across the product lifecycle
- Design highly scalable, available, and reliable applications to solve complex technical challenges
- Create system and product growth roadmaps and ensure timely, high-quality delivery
- Coordinate with designers, business analysts, and product managers on Agile delivery plans and estimates
- Provide ongoing, in-depth mentoring to help team members advance their careers
- Conduct regular performance evaluations
Requirements
- 8–12 years of experience at strong product companies, preferably product startups
- Strong experience with scalable web back-end, streaming, and full-stack development, including production and performance issues across platform technologies
- Deep knowledge of technology and architecture for highly scalable, highly available systems
- Expertise in highly transactional, large relational, and complex web or desktop systems
- Experience hiring, developing, and scaling high-performing engineering teams and organizations
- Startup experience is strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of business processes and how technology can implement and streamline them
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Hands-on experience designing, developing, and scaling complex systems horizontally and vertically
- A clear vision and enthusiasm for contributing to the growth of a product startup
