Guide major commerce, transportation, and manufacturing customers in getting more from Akamai’s cloud, edge, security, and content delivery services. Lead technical initiatives from early planning through implementation.

Description

  • Guide customers toward successful outcomes with Akamai solutions, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Assess customer needs and trends, then recommend architectures and adoption strategies.
  • Design and oversee web performance, cloud, and security solutions.
  • Set account direction, build stakeholder relationships, and maintain a project pipeline.
  • Lead and coach a cross-functional team.
  • Work with sales and pre-sales teams to grow adoption of Akamai services and solutions.
  • Take customer initiatives from initial concept through implementation.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, engineering, or an equivalent field
  • Experience in a customer-facing position
  • Understanding of consulting processes
  • Experience successfully managing and delivering large technical programs
  • Knowledge of DevOps, web performance, DNS, TLS, and HTTP
  • Knowledge of information security fundamentals, common threats and vulnerabilities, and methods and tools for protecting data, applications, and infrastructure
  • Familiarity with computing technologies and architecture principles
  • Basic skills in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based systems
  • Ability to work independently and with a remote team
