E-commerce and Operations Specialist

Description

  • Research high-demand products in Argentina and uncover sales opportunities.
  • Assess pricing, competitors, and consumer trends to position products effectively.
  • Calculate opportunity profitability, including sourcing, logistics, marketplace fees, and other costs.
  • Create, improve, and manage listings on Mercado Libre Argentina and other relevant marketplaces.
  • Set and adjust prices based on margins and market conditions.
  • Handle orders, customer questions, and purchase follow-up to support a positive buying experience.
  • Coordinate with partners responsible for imports, warehousing, order preparation, and local delivery.
  • Keep inventory records current and anticipate replenishment needs.
  • Track sales, costs, and profitability, and recommend ways to grow the business.

Requirements

  • Based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a Mercado Libre store or a physical-goods sales operation in Argentina.
  • Practical knowledge of Mercado Libre operations, including listings, pricing, fees, orders, shipping, and seller reputation.
  • Fluent in Spanish.
  • Able to assess costs, margins, and commercial opportunities.
  • Able to work independently with organization and accountability.
  • Available for a long-term, freelance, part-time engagement.
  • English communication skills for working with the international team are an advantage.
  • Experience building an e-commerce store or business from the ground up is an advantage.
  • Experience with imported products and logistics provider coordination is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets and sales and inventory tracking tools is an advantage.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and initiative in spotting opportunities and solving problems are an advantage.
