Director of Semiconductor IP Licensing (Hybrid, Bristol)

Lead Ceva’s semiconductor IP licensing strategy and monetization efforts. Negotiate global agreements with manufacturers, fabless companies, and system integrators.

Description

  • Own the strategy and execution of Ceva’s semiconductor intellectual property licensing portfolio
  • Lead complex product and commercial contract negotiations with semiconductor manufacturers, fabless companies, and system integrators
  • Partner with Product Divisions, Sales, Finance, and Legal to increase revenue from the IP portfolio
  • Assess licensing opportunities, renewals, expansions, and emerging use cases
  • Contribute to IP valuation, competitive assessments, and market positioning
  • Create licensing and pricing models that support profitable, sustainable growth
  • Develop and maintain commercial proposal and license agreement templates
  • Guide global Sales through complex commercial and legal negotiations from proposal to closing
  • Oversee the contract lifecycle following deal completion
  • Coordinate contract reporting, compliance, and enforcement with Sales, Finance, and Legal

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, business, or law
  • At least 10 years of experience in the semiconductor or technology industry, including IP licensing, business operations, or business development roles
  • Proven hands-on success negotiating and closing technology licensing agreements
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience with global responsibilities or international exposure
  • Willingness to travel is advantageous
  • An MBA or advanced technical degree is preferred
  • Experience with semiconductor IP companies, EDA vendors, or fabless semiconductor firms is preferred
  • Business experience in startup and scale-up or large organizations is preferred
  • Familiarity with semiconductor IP, including processor cores, interface IP, memory controllers, and PHYs, is advantageous
