DB2 LUW Database Administrator at Atos (Remote, Poland)

Administer and optimize enterprise DB2 LUW databases supporting Atos digital services. The role covers availability, disaster recovery, performance tuning, and critical systems.

Description

  • Administer, monitor, maintain, and tune IBM DB2 LUW databases in production, test, and development environments.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and migrate IBM DB2 LUW databases.
  • Investigate database performance, tune SQL, and optimize queries.
  • Resolve complex database issues.
  • Plan and deliver high availability, disaster recovery, backup and recovery, and replication solutions.
  • Manage partitioned and clustered DB2 environments, including DPF and pureScale, with responsibility for capacity, storage, and performance monitoring.
  • Support data warehouses and business-critical transactional systems.
  • Coordinate with application, middleware, infrastructure, storage, and network teams.
  • Create and maintain scripts to automate database administration and operational work.
  • Help resolve incidents, identify root causes, and improve services continuously.

Requirements

  • Bring several years of hands-on DB2 LUW database administration experience in enterprise settings.
  • Have strong knowledge of IBM DB2 LUW 10.x or 11.x, AIX and Linux administration, backup and recovery, and high availability and disaster recovery architectures.
  • Be experienced in performance tuning, database optimization, SQL development, and troubleshooting.
  • Have supported large database infrastructures and mission-critical applications.
  • Understand database replication technologies and business continuity solutions.
  • Use Bash or Korn Shell scripting; Python or Perl is an advantage.
  • IBM Power Systems, PowerVM, or AIX experience is a plus.
  • Experience with pureScale, DPF, HADR, TSA, or PowerHA is a plus.
  • Oracle database administration experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAN storage technologies such as IBM, NetApp, or EMC, and data storage solutions is a plus.
  • Experience with middleware such as WebSphere or WebLogic is a plus.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, automation, or Infrastructure as Code practices is a plus.
