Description
- Investigate business challenges and client requirements that may require organisational change
- Define business requirements that address identified problems and opportunities
- Work with stakeholders to validate that proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations
- Help prepare business cases that support investment in proposed solutions
- Assess solution viability through feasibility studies
- Contribute to project reporting and help track delivery against schedule and budget
- Design operational processes within the agreed scope
- Support change-management work, including the development of traceability matrices
- Develop data-driven solutions alongside business stakeholders, data modellers, and engineering teams
- Assess how operational data is used and help ensure it is translated, curated, and delivered effectively through modern data platforms
- Provide informed input to decisions and contribute to policy development
- Lead complex assignments or teams and coach colleagues where applicable
- Provide consultation on complex matters and advise People Leaders on escalated issues
- Define risk mitigations and develop policies and procedures that support governance and controls
- Combine internal and external data sources to investigate and resolve problems
- Explain complex information clearly and influence stakeholders toward agreed outcomes
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience defining data requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria with data modellers, while documenting outcomes clearly in tools such as Jira
- Strong stakeholder-engagement skills, with the ability to understand operational data use and convert business needs into use cases for modern data products
- Experience or exposure to data-governance frameworks, data-quality controls, and regulatory or risk-conscious environments
- Understanding of conceptual and logical data models, along with experience using data-product or domain-oriented patterns
- Practical experience in Agile teams, including Jira backlog management and iterative delivery
- Good knowledge of data migration principles, including quality, lineage, transformation, and validation
- Awareness of cloud-based data delivery
- Ability to work from Knutsford or Northampton
