Data Engineer – Core Banking Data Transformation | Luminor Group

Join Luminor Group as a Data Engineer developing scalable pipelines and transformations for core banking, finance, reporting, and analytics. This hybrid Latvia-based role supports reliable data delivery across the banking data lifecycle.

Description

  • Build dependable data pipelines and transformation processes supporting banking, finance, reporting, and analytics
  • Trace data from core banking and source systems through transformation stages to downstream users
  • Convert business needs into data mappings, transformation rules, reconciliation logic, and technical implementations
  • Create and maintain data solutions across Bronze, Silver, and Gold architecture layers
  • Maintain high standards of data quality and consistency
  • Diagnose complex data problems spanning source systems, transformations, warehouses, and reporting outputs
  • Manage changes across analysis, development, testing, deployment, and production support
  • Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, architects, and engineers to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions

Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Practical knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT
  • Solid understanding of banking and core banking data, including accounts, transactions, balances, general ledger/accounting, and reporting
  • Hands-on experience developing data transformations
  • Experience with cloud data platforms, preferably AWS
  • Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD, testing, and deployment practices
  • Strong capabilities in system and data analysis
  • Oracle or Oracle FLEXCUBE experience is advantageous
  • Experience with Databricks/Spark, Bronze/Silver/Gold architectures, and BI or reporting environments is advantageous
  • Takes ownership, thinks analytically, stays functionally curious, and builds practical production-ready solutions
  • Fluent spoken and written English is required
  • Primarily based in the Baltic states; submit an English-language CV in PDF format
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification is required
