Credit Control Analyst, London (Hybrid)

Manage premium collections, cash allocation and aged debt for London Market insurance clients. Support embedded finance teams with reconciliations, reporting and broker queries.

Description

  • Monitor outstanding premium debt and prepare aged debt reports for finance teams and underwriters
  • Pursue brokers for premium settlement under agreed trade terms and payment clauses, escalating overdue balances when necessary
  • Allocate cash receipts to the correct policies and transactions, resolving unallocated and suspense cash
  • Reconcile broker statements and account balances while investigating and correcting discrepancies
  • Monitor premium payment warranty and settlement deadlines, alerting underwriting teams to potential breaches
  • Assist month-end and quarter-end close through credit control reporting, KPI tracking and debt provisioning data
  • Respond clearly and professionally to credit control queries from internal teams and market counterparties
  • Identify recurring collection process issues and recommend practical improvements
  • Work as a G MASS consultant within a London Market insurance client's finance and credit control team

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, cash allocation or a comparable finance operations role
  • Insurance experience is preferred, particularly in the Lloyd's or London Market with a managing agent, syndicate, MGA or broker
  • Familiarity with premium settlement, trade terms or broker accounting is advantageous; full training is provided
  • Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables and basic reconciliation logic, with the ability to learn finance and policy systems quickly
  • Organised and detail-focused, with a commitment to accurate work against fixed month-end deadlines
  • Clear and confident communicator who can follow up with external parties and build effective working relationships
  • Degree qualification or equivalent professional experience
