CorePower Yoga Studio Coordinator – Long Island City

Part-time, on-site role coordinating studio operations and student experience at CorePower Yoga in Long Island City. Requires teaching at least six CorePower Yoga classes each week.

Description

  • Coordinate studio operations and maintain health and safety standards to support the CorePower Yoga experience.
  • Help the Studio Manager meet goals for membership growth, retail sales, community outreach, teacher and Studio Experience Team recruitment, and program enrollment.
  • Work 18–29 hours per week on-site, supporting operations, front desk guidance, health and safety, and the team; teach if certified.
  • Serve as the contact for students and staff when the Studio Manager is absent, for up to 20 hours per week.
  • Manage supplies, cleanliness, locker room amenities, towels, and program materials.
  • Welcome students, build community at the front desk, and represent yoga.
  • Assist teachers with point-of-sale tasks and pre- and post-class duties.
  • Maintain cleanliness, functionality, heat, humidity, music, and safety standards.
  • Explain the Smart Health Protocol to students.
  • Clean the studio, replenish amenities, and ensure cleaning procedures are followed.
  • Interview, hire, schedule, train, discipline, and terminate Studio Experience Team employees as needed.
  • Lead orientation for new Studio Experience Team members.
  • Coordinate studio operating systems between the Studio Manager, teachers, and Studio Experience Team.
  • Use point-of-sale, online reservation, substitute-teacher, HRIS, and help desk systems.
  • Submit facilities tickets and update the Studio Manager on follow-up needs.
  • Teach at least six CorePower Yoga classes each week and cover additional classes as needed.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate CorePower Yoga’s core value.
  • Have excellent oral communication, professionalism, and interpersonal skills.
  • Have customer service experience.
  • Completion of a Yoga Alliance certified 200-hour program is preferred.
  • Yoga Sculpt teacher training is preferred.
  • Be familiar and comfortable with studio systems such as HRIS, intranet, point-of-sale, scheduling, and payroll systems.
  • Build relationships with people who have diverse personalities, working styles, and seniority levels.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work across multiple deadlines.
  • Show initiative and enthusiasm when taking on new projects.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Have strong time management skills.
  • Be able to take initiative and prioritize tasks.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Be available for morning, evening, weekend, and some holiday shifts, with schedule flexibility.
  • Move around the studio, crouch, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • If certified to teach, be able to step in to teach with little or no notice while scheduled in the studio.
