Description

  • Partner with physician deputy editors to advance work within an assigned medical specialty
  • Build ongoing relationships with external authors, editors, and peer reviewers
  • Record content updates and editorial workflows in the appropriate databases
  • Move content through each stage of the editorial process
  • Apply styling and formatting to original manuscripts
  • Review and monitor graphics while coordinating with Graphics and Permissions teams
  • Send materials to external contributors, establish deadlines, and follow up on outstanding responses
  • Integrate contributor revisions for review by specialty deputy editors
  • Proofread content, verify links and references, and prepare topics and graphics for publication
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency with UpToDate style guidelines
  • Complete editorial assignments within required timeframes
  • Monitor annual goal progress and submit accurate monthly reports on completed and active work
  • Plan and lead specialty meetings with deputy editors to review open items and determine next steps

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience
  • Strong proofreading, communication, time-management, and organizational abilities
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Submit a cover letter together with your resume in one document
  • Be prepared to appear onsite at a Wolters Kluwer office during the recruitment process if requested
  • Editorial experience is helpful but not required
  • Medical experience and prior medical knowledge are not required
