Content Creator Contractor – New York City Hybrid

Description

  • Partner with Creative teams to shape concepts and prepare shot lists
  • Keep concepts and filming methods tailored to social platforms
  • Work with client contacts on permissions, release forms, and other pre-production details
  • Recommend equipment requirements for each shoot
  • Film content for Instagram Reels, Stories, and TikTok
  • Apply composition, lighting, equipment, transitions, POV, and other platform-specific techniques
  • Appear on camera when the content calls for it
  • Edit social-first videos with synchronized footage, suitable audio, a clear story, and platform-native execution
  • Transfer projects to the Design team for off-platform production and motion graphic overlays
  • Train Creative and Social Media Manager teams on best practices for in-app content
  • Develop effective relationships across account teams and departments
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively to deliver a high-quality Content Creator experience

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience producing social-first content for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms
  • Technical expertise in mobile-first filming and social-first content production
  • Confidence leading shoots, directing talent, and managing post-production
  • Willingness to appear on camera when needed
  • Distinct creative perspective with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong interest in emerging content formats and social trends
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to mentor others
  • Deep engagement with social and popular culture and current trend knowledge
  • Ability to work rapidly and respond to daily trends
  • Comfort working in an agile, fast-moving environment
  • Availability to work three days per week from the New York City office
  • Availability for full-time work
