Description

  • Develop clear, useful articles based on consumer questions, editorial priorities, and SEO and AEO opportunities
  • Explain complex tax and financial subjects in accessible language for everyday consumers
  • Use SEO and AEO principles to strengthen content structure, relevance, and discoverability
  • Apply approved AI-enabled tools to research, generate ideas, draft, and optimize content
  • Protect H&R Block’s brand voice, editorial standards, and factual accuracy
  • Work with social media and production partners to adapt content for other channels and formats
  • Find ways to extend high-performing content through channel-specific versions and supporting assets
  • Oversee multiple assignments from development through review, approval, scheduling, and publication
  • Publish approved materials on designated platforms with accurate content, complete formatting, and on-time delivery
  • Use performance data, emerging SEO and AEO practices, and team insights to improve future work

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, digital media, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • One to three years of experience in content marketing, editorial content, digital publishing, SEO writing, communications, or a related field
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication abilities
  • Working knowledge of writing for digital audiences and search discoverability
  • Strong organizational and project coordination capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, deadlines, stakeholders, and feedback cycles
  • Careful attention to detail and a consistent focus on accurate, high-quality work
  • Willingness to learn and use AI-enabled content tools responsibly
  • Collaborative and proactive approach with the ability to follow through independently
  • Preferred: experience creating or editing SEO-informed articles, educational material, or consumer-facing digital content
  • Preferred: familiarity with SEO fundamentals such as search intent, keywords, headings, metadata, internal links, and content structure
  • Preferred: exposure to AEO, AI-assisted search, generative AI, or structured content practices
  • Preferred: experience with a content management system or digital publishing platform
  • Preferred: experience coordinating content through formal review and approval workflows
  • Preferred: familiarity with analytics, keyword research, editorial workflows, and project management tools
  • Preferred: interest in tax, personal finance, and consumer education content
