Compliance Officer – Abu Dhabi Hybrid

Support eToro’s ADGM-regulated social trading platform in Abu Dhabi. Oversee compliance monitoring, regulatory and AML reporting, KYC/EDD controls, and regulator engagement.

Description

  • Support the Head of Compliance with the daily operation of the local compliance framework
  • Implement assigned components of the local compliance strategy and framework
  • Help develop local compliance team members under the direction of the Head of Compliance
  • Execute assigned compliance monitoring activities, including surveillance and follow-up reviews
  • Advise employees and senior leaders on regulatory, policy, and procedural requirements
  • Manage assigned client inquiries, information requests, and complaints
  • Identify, record, and escalate compliance concerns, policy violations, and regulatory breaches while supporting resolution efforts
  • Update compliance policies and procedures to reflect regulatory developments
  • Prepare and coordinate the timely submission of assigned regulatory and AML reports
  • Produce compliance management information for the Head of Compliance, SEO, Board, and Group Senior Management
  • Assess the regulatory impact of proposed business strategies
  • Track local and international regulatory developments, including FSRA policy updates, Central Bank of the UAE guidance, and international best practices
  • Work with the company’s MLRO on AML/CTF policies and KYC and EDD review oversight
  • Maintain familiarity with AML processes and systems to provide effective coverage when needed
  • Build constructive regulator relationships and respond to information requests from the FSRA and other UAE competent authorities
  • Deliver and coordinate compliance training across the business
  • Help embed a strong compliance culture across teams and business processes

Requirements

  • At least five years of relevant compliance experience in financial services
  • Substantial experience with ADGM- or FSRA-regulated firms, or another UAE or local financial services regulator
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining effective regulator relationships
  • Direct experience working with the FSRA and/or other ADGM or UAE regulators
  • Experience in a deputy or second-in-command compliance position is preferred
  • Ability to advise the Board, senior management, and Group colleagues on complex regulatory matters
  • Track record of managing multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Ability to meet short deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Eligible to hold or obtain approval for an FSRA Approved Person or Authorized Individual function where required
  • Experience with digital assets is highly preferred
