- Operate and optimize cloud infrastructure environments supporting services
- Administer and deploy systems across AWS and Microsoft Azure GovCloud platforms
- Configure, test, and deploy native, commercial, open-source, and custom capabilities across AWS, Azure GovCloud, and on-premises cloud environments
- Manage compute, storage, networking, and platform services across multiple cloud enclaves
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code and automation for provisioning and configuration management
- Enable automated application deployment, integration, and monitoring through DevSecOps pipelines
- Track system performance, availability, and reliability, then implement operational improvements
- Perform patching, upgrades, configuration management, and technical troubleshooting
- Maintain compliance with NIST SP 800-53, RMF, STIGs, and Department of Defense cybersecurity policies
- Support asset tracking, backups, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations
- Diagnose and resolve issues affecting system performance, scalability, and availability
- Work with DevSecOps, cybersecurity, data engineering, and systems development teams
- Assist with incident response and operational troubleshooting
- Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures
- Take part in SAFe ceremonies, including PI Planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 6 years; additional experience may substitute for the degree
- Active DoD Secret clearance and eligibility for DoD Top Secret SCI access
- Experience operating, maintaining, and securing GovCloud environments on AWS, Azure, or GCP
- At least 5 years of experience in DevOps engineering or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience operating GovCloud environments
- Current DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification suitable for Intermediate System Administrator roles, such as Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP, or equivalent; DoD 8140 Training Repository offerings or qualifying equivalent training and experience are also accepted
- A cloud certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, Azure Administrator - Associate, or Google Cloud Engineer
- Experience administering systems in secure DoD or federal environments
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code with tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience working with containerized platforms, including Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience supporting DevSecOps pipelines and automated deployment processes
- Experience applying RMF, STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity requirements
- Experience developing and deploying systems through Infrastructure as Code
- Experience deploying automated solutions for large-scale system management
- Experience scaling infrastructure horizontally and vertically at the application layer
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
