Clinical Research Assistant in Albuquerque (Onsite)

Support clinical trials in an onsite Albuquerque role with Presbyterian Healthcare Services. Responsibilities include specimen collection, study data management, and patient follow-up coordination.

Description

  • Support the research nurse or coordinator in conducting clinical trials
  • Collect, process, store, and handle clinical specimens
  • Schedule study patients for follow-up visits and study appointments
  • Collect, record, and organize clinical data
  • Document study information on case report forms
  • Retrieve electronic and paper medical records
  • Collect clinical measurements, including vital signs, EKG recordings, and weights
  • Perform phlebotomy and transport specimens to the laboratory
  • Enter study data into sponsor portals
  • Maintain accurate, organized files for sponsor audits
  • Collect source documents
  • File and retrieve study records for physicians, research nurses, and study monitors
  • Triage phone calls related to research studies
  • Manage long-term follow-up activities
  • Perform other assigned functions as required

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years of research experience, or experience as a Medical Assistant (certification preferred) or Laboratory Technician with at least six months of clinical experience
  • Certified Phlebotomist certification preferred
  • Ability to perform phlebotomy according to the study plan
  • Ability to enter data accurately into sponsor portals
  • Ability to collect, process, store, and ship blood and tissue specimens
  • Ability to retrieve electronic and/or paper medical records
  • Ability to collect clinical measurements, including vital signs, EKG recordings, and weights
