Business Development Manager – Corporate Business, Kuala Lumpur

Description

  • Meet company and department objectives by delivering assigned sales targets through intermediaries
  • Maintain compliance with applicable legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with intermediaries
  • Underwrite business within delegated authority and consult senior underwriters on risk retention
  • Manage and monitor accepted accounts and projects to support department profitability
  • Support the Supervising Manager with sales and production reporting
  • Oversee outstanding premiums and ensure collection within agreed payment terms
  • Follow company policies and applicable PIAM, BNM, and other regulatory requirements
  • Track global systems and reporting to support KPI achievement
  • Identify business opportunities and promote company products and services, including cross-selling
  • Maintain documentation and electronic filing systems
  • Carry out other duties as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Professional Degree in any discipline
  • At least three years of relevant experience in sales or financial services
  • Results-oriented, target-driven, and capable of working independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage intermediary relationships and contribute effectively as a team member
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT for simplifying tasks
