Business Analyst – Denver Hybrid

Analyze WOW broadband operational and financial data to uncover insights, improve processes, and support informed decisions across departments. Build reporting and analytical tools while partnering with stakeholders, vendors, and management.

Description

  • Conduct business case analyses with departments and vendors to support operational and financial objectives
  • Review operational metrics, financial information, and performance data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and improvement areas
  • Help manage financial reports, spending, invoices, and related financial activities
  • Advise management on financial matters, spending policies, budget compliance, performance targets, and metrics
  • Complete mathematical calculations and financial ratio analyses
  • Lead data mining, reporting, visualization, and analysis using multiple data sources
  • Create reports that assess operational initiatives, improve customer experience, and increase efficiency
  • Work with stakeholders to keep business data accurate, accessible, and timely
  • Protect data integrity and ensure reporting requirements are fulfilled
  • Build and maintain complex spreadsheets and analytical tools
  • Convert complex technical and financial information into clear, actionable insights
  • Assess processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend performance and efficiency solutions
  • Investigate complex operational issues and deliver data-driven recommendations
  • Manage projects from launch through completion while coordinating stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Support vendor relationships involving reporting, financial management, and invoicing
  • Collaborate with departments and business partners to gather information, resolve problems, and provide analytical insights
  • Act as a trusted analytical resource for management and business stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in business, accounting, finance, or a related discipline
  • Two to three years of related financial management or business analysis experience
  • Experience evaluating operational and financial data and turning findings into actionable recommendations
  • Experience managing projects and coordinating work among multiple stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid knowledge of financial metrics, calculations, ratios, budgets, and business performance
  • Excellent organization and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently while balancing competing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical and financial concepts to nontechnical and nonfinancial audiences
  • Strong understanding of business operations and how operational performance affects financial results
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex spreadsheets for financial and operational use
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for business purposes
