Bond & Specialty Underwriting Internship at Travelers (Hybrid)
Travelers seeks a hybrid underwriting intern in Braintree, Massachusetts, to assess business risks and support bond and specialty insurance work. The internship develops analytical and marketing skills through coached assignments, project work, and AI-assisted analysis.
Description
- Learn about property and casualty insurance through hands-on training and practical experience
- Research relevant information to assess business and institutional risk
- Build analytical and marketing capabilities in an underwriting environment
- Deliver challenging, meaningful project work
- Complete core responsibilities with guidance from a designated coach
- Use modern analytical and artificial intelligence tools while applying critical judgment to assess AI-generated outputs
- Take part in Travelers' Enterprise Internship program, including executive speaker sessions, networking events, and the Rising Senior Intern Symposium
- Handle additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer now and in the future
- Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor's degree
- Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Bachelor's degree completed or in progress in business administration, economics, finance, liberal arts with a preferred business focus, management, marketing, or risk management and insurance
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
