Backend Software Engineer – Payments | Singapore Hybrid

Build scalable Golang backend services and APIs for YouTrip’s multi-currency fintech platform. Strengthen secure, resilient payment systems serving users across Asia Pacific.

Description

  • Build and maintain secure, resilient Golang backend services and APIs.
  • Contribute across the full software lifecycle, from requirements and design through testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Produce clean, efficient, maintainable code that follows engineering standards and best practices.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to clarify needs, design solutions, and deliver reliable software.
  • Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability through monitoring and optimization.
  • Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for backend quality and stability.
  • Contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical documentation.
  • Track emerging technologies and assess their suitability for company systems.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.
  • Bring at least four years of backend development experience, preferably in a high-growth or fintech environment.
  • Understand object-oriented and/or functional programming principles and software design patterns.
  • Have practical experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Know automated testing practices, including unit and integration testing for backend services.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving ability and careful attention to detail.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly in writing and conversation.
  • Have experience with Golang and/or gRPC, which is strongly preferred.
