Backend Developer (Go) – Hybrid in Chile

Build scalable microservices and APIs for a financial project at Stefanini LATAM. Work with Go, Node.js, databases, and messaging technologies in a hybrid Chile-based role.

Description

  • Contribute to the technical design of backend solutions by defining components, integrations, and service contracts.
  • Design, develop, and maintain microservices and REST APIs with Go and Node.js, ideally using TypeScript and NestJS.
  • Design and document API contracts with Swagger and OpenAPI.
  • Create unit and integration tests, apply TDD practices, and maintain code coverage.
  • Integrate solutions with PostgreSQL and MySQL, including data modeling, query development, and basic optimization.
  • Implement and use Redis for caching, queues, locks, and processing optimization.
  • Develop integrations using Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Manage source code with Git, branching workflows, pull requests, and code reviews.
  • Support the deployment and operation of services in Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Diagnose technical issues and troubleshoot services in Linux and Unix-like environments.
  • Analyze and improve latency, performance, and resource consumption.
  • Collaborate with development, architecture, QA, and operations teams throughout the solution lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Hands-on proficiency with Go and Node.js.
  • Experience with TypeScript and NestJS is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience building microservices and REST APIs in production environments.
  • Working knowledge of Swagger and OpenAPI.
  • Experience with Git, pull requests, and code reviews.
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL and/or MySQL, including data modeling and SQL queries.
  • Experience using Redis.
  • Knowledge of Kafka and/or RabbitMQ.
  • Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience working in Linux or Unix-like environments.
  • Knowledge of unit and integration testing, along with strong software quality practices.
